TERMITES
Termites do more damage than fire and storms combined. Though we have many species of termites, the subterranean termites are the most common termites found in the east coast. However, Formosan termites are considered the most destructive termites. Drywood termites are also found in the east coast. Termites cause damage to new and old structures and the damage can be very costly to fix. Moisture and wood are the main attractants of termites.There are two methods of termite control:
- Liquid Treatment
In this method we apply a liquid termiticide around the perimeter of the structure using the best nonrepellant product in the market. This kills the termites through ingestion as they pass it on by rubbing on each other. It is a quicker way to eliminate a colony.
- Bait
This is a method where we place stations in strategic positions around the structure and monitor them every three months to check any evidence of termites. If we find an evidence of termites in any of the stations, we replace them with bait for termites where the feed whole colony and eventually eliminating the colony.
